Aurora Iron Mining Company papers.

This collection consists of four legal documents concerning the Aurora Iron Mining Co. The first is an agreement between Aurora and the Milwaukee, Lake Shore & Western Railway, agreeing to provide rail service in return for exclusive freight rights. The second is a map of the Aurora location (blueprint) showing pits, stockpiles, etc. The third is an agreement between Aurora and the above mentioned railway granting right-of-way for tracks across the company's property. The fourth is a lease of lands by Aurora from Edward Sparrow and John Longyear. The collection is arranged chronologically.

Soon after this date the concern began to develop its location in section 23, just east of the town of Ironwood.
